The show records an early look at Google Calendar, including natural language entry, map links and iCal support, before Dr. Dave and Evil Steve demonstrate a noisy methane powered laptop. After a family bowling night, Dr. Dave says he improved by relaxing instead of trying to look professional, stopped when his wrist tired and enjoyed time with the children; he and Evil Steve specifically praise Dr. Dave's son Nick’s bowling. Dr. Dave gives one of his clearest consulting explanations of why a capable business owner may still save money by hiring an expert, accounting for the owner’s time, the technician’s experience and responsibility for later problems. He also argues at length that blogs broke traditional media’s information monopoly and would permanently change history by letting specialized readers check public claims. The closing report considers the balance between Apple’s trade secrets and a blogger’s protection of sources, while a long SpamCube interview and routine calls remain preserved only in the full show.
