The promised hard-hitting Norton follow-up becomes one of the archive's longest comic bits. A supposed corporate representative gives increasingly impossible answers until Dr. Dave and Evil Steve realize on air that the guest is a fraud, test him with their improvised lie detector and throw him off the show. Around the comedy, Dr. Dave credits bloggers with forcing vital voting-machine information into public view, while caller Dan asks why auditable electronic voting cannot work as reliably as an ATM receipt; the later report that election software used passwords such as 12345678 makes their concern concrete. A separate DEFCON story delights the brothers when hackers identify an undercover network reporter and turn the planned investigation back on the investigator, while a hard-drive caller hears Dr. Dave's preservation rule: when a damaged drive makes noise, stop, and when the next step is uncertain, avoid making the loss worse.
