After helping a caller trapped by hostile software, Dr. Dave argues that honest technology professionals must explain real risks without glossing them over and that users must either learn what protects them or hire someone they trust. He and Evil Steve still refuse to let danger define the medium, comparing the Internet with life itself: both contain terrible things, but both are fundamentally full of value and good people. An eBay search reconnects Dr. Dave with his childhood Six Million Dollar Man lunchbox and a story about Evil Steve smashing it, while a veteran caller helps him explain why bloated pictographic interfaces can make experts less efficient and why remote software can surrender the autonomy personal computers created. The episode also preserves the Truth Blog's invitation to think, an early view of online trails exposing hidden threats and the brothers' pride in Dr. Dave's son LT's team for not giving up.
