February 28, 2009
The February 28 show captures Dr. Dave changing his mind in public. After a listener asks him to reconsider Twitter, he tries it, finds it valuable for sharing the knowledge produced by his radio and consulting work, thanks her for making him think again and still warns that any technology can become a time sink without discipline. The brothers also imagine an always-live behind-the-scenes feed and joke that radio is the original audio version of Twitter, while an old Logitech mouse board in Dr. Dave's storage becomes a personal piece of computing history. Elsewhere Dr. Dave argues that a company's credibility depends less on never having a problem than on honestly acknowledging what happened, and he praises teams and hosts who can keep a live show coherent while a technical crisis unfolds around them.
