A large Sidekick outage prompts Dr. Dave to remember buying a phone for a promised feature that had quietly been removed and to argue that customers must stop accepting products that do not do what they claim. He follows with a simple preservation rule: keep both a local backup and an off-site copy, because no provider is too large to fail. A knowledgeable caller brings a difficult freezing computer, giving Dr. Dave an opportunity to praise her method and remain candid about what he still cannot know from the studio. The second hour includes an extended political argument about speech, media and Dr. Dave’s decision to stop watching the NFL, balanced by callers, technology nostalgia and the brothers’ humor.
