A playful new mixer gives Dr. Dave and Evil Steve room for the kind of improvised studio humor that made the program personal, while Evil Steve’s vivid Road Atlanta story connects a present-day opportunity with race cars and heroes he had followed since childhood. Dr. Dave then delivers one of his clearest consulting lessons: decide whether a change is necessary and properly timed before choosing the replacement, respect the people who must use it and step away long enough to troubleshoot with accurate information. The Sony breach leads him to reject brand worship in security, and the Microsoft–Skype news becomes a prescient concern that cloud subscriptions could make personal computers less personal. Even in dated product discussions, his durable priorities remain visible—irreplaceable data matters more than disposable hardware, success combines work with timing and luck, and a new label such as “cloud” should not obscure what the technology actually is.
