Dr. Dave's return to live radio after a sabbatical gives the episode its memorial center. He reflects that Computer Talk began when his job was to persuade reluctant businesses to embrace computers, but that decades of experience had made the possible harm and overload of technology just as important as its promise. Privacy stories lead to a practical philosophy: object when surveillance goes too far, make mature decisions about risk and put energy into the parts of life a person can actually control. The program also captures a major moment in technology history as Windows 10, HoloLens and a vision of an almost invisible Internet make Dr. Dave genuinely excited while still asking whether each new tool adds real value.
