Dr. Dave and Evil Steve inspect small changes to DaveMason.com on the air: a live copper wire sparking the “On Air” graphic, reflected lettering and a seasonal allergy joke added to Dr. Dave's portrait.
The original Computer Talk archive · Proposed air date:
Dr. Dave and Evil Steve explain that every show remained available in a segmented archive on DaveMason.com for eight months, so listeners could revisit an answer long after the live broadcast. They identify it as the website's largest feature by downloads and visits, and Evil Steve calls it a repository of Dr. Dave's brain.
The show came before the race invitation · Proposed air date:
Dr. Dave and Evil Steve explain that they were invited to Daytona and wished they could be there, but Computer Talk and its listeners came first. Their attempt to imagine a remote broadcast from the track captures both their excitement for their friends and their seriousness about doing the Saturday show well.

Both brothers then explain that the program is fun, they do not miss broadcasts and Dr. Dave will travel only after Saturday's live show because the listeners expect them to be there.
Dr. Dave and Evil Steve explain how the original DaveMason.com served Computer Talk listeners: a six-month archive, a temporary higher-quality affiliate copy and a continuous stream that rolled completed shows into rotation. Their joking conclusion—“you cannot not get the show”—makes this a valuable audio guide to the very archive the memorial site now preserves.

When caller Tom starts wrapping up his own question, Dr. Dave and Evil Steve laugh that he is acting as the show’s producer. They quickly turn the joke into genuine appreciation, saying their great listeners make the program and that they could not do it without them.
Why everything became Computer Talk · Proposed air date:
Someone asks why a computer show discusses phones and music players. Dr. Dave and Evil Steve answer that computers and the Internet now touch cars, aircraft, voting and nearly every part of life, which gives the show room to connect technology with any subject—and, just as importantly, to talk about what they genuinely like.
While checking the Redskins schedule, Dr. Dave and Evil Steve stop to acknowledge the shooting death of starting safety Sean Taylor. They call the coming game deeply emotional and extend their heartfelt sympathy to Taylor's family and to the entire Redskins community.
